Worrying figures out today show a large increase in reports of sexual abuse among primary school children in Devon and Cornwall.
Last year Devon and Cornwall police recorded a hundred and 46 sex crimes against children under the age of eleven, an increase of 25 on the previous year.
The figures were obtained by the NSPCC which is urging parents to make their children more alert to what constitutes inappropriate behaviour.
The charity has an online video demonstrating how parents can broach the difficult subject.
