Heat gun causes more heat than expected
Three fire engines were mobilised following a call to Control reporting concerns following a heat gun being used on a roof to remove paint which resulted in smouldering soffits. Upon arrival crews confirmed that there was a small fire smouldering within the soffit area, and extinguished this using one hose reel jet.
Crews then used a thermal image camera both internally and externally to check the area over.
5% of fire damage was caused.
The cause is believed to be accidental.
