Students administer CPR in Sidwell Street
Investigations are under way in Exeter after a man was found dead in the city centre on Saturday afternoon.
An Exeter University student came across the man, described as being "blue in the face" and lying "upside down" on steps in Sidwell Street around 2.45pm.
The student called 999 and was directed to administer CPR before emergency services arrived.
A medical student, also passing by, provided more care to the man, who they suggest appeared to be in his forties, but he was already dead.
An area around Taco Bell and Istanbul restaurants was cordoned off when police arrived.
The force has not yet issued any information about the incident.
