A man has been charged with attempted murder at a commercial premises in Barnstaple.
Police say the victim sustained minor injuries in the incident on Queen Street in the early hours of Friday morning [28 June].
27-year-old Wayne Tandy, of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, was also charged with possession of a bladed article.
A second man, Nicholas Stephenson, aged 29 and also from Wakefield, was charged with driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
The men appeared at Exeter Magistrates on Saturday and will appear at Barnstaple Magistrates on Friday July 12.
