The Chiefs beat their hosts by 27 points to 16.
Gareth Steenson was man of the match - he kicked five penalties and a conversion, and also created the opportunity for Damian Welch's try.
Exeter City also emerged victorious from their home game against Northampton - they beat them three-nil and are now in fourth place in the table.
