Crews attended the scene within minutes
Emergency services say a Devon football stand has been deliberately damaged in a fire.
They were called yesterday afternoon [7 October] at 4pm to South Molton Football Club by a member of the public.
A fire crew from the town attended within minutes and, with a crew from Barnstaple, were able to extinguish the fire before it took hold.
In a statement, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue said: "The fire measuring 10m by 3m was extinguished using one hose reel jet, small tools and a thermal imaging camera. There was approximately 4m by 2m damaged by fire."
They have also appealed for information, after people were seen around the stand at 1pm.
