Investigations are continuing today into the cause of a fire which destroyed two thatched houses in the Dunsford Hill area of Exeter.
At one point fifteen emergency crews and ninety firefighters were at the scene in Little Johns Cross Hill near Ide. The fire broke out on Sunday evening, and it took more than 12 hours to completely put it out.
The roof and first floor of both properties has been completely destroyed and structural engineers are assessing the remaining parts of the buildings today.
