The local firefighters' union is warning that the fire and rescue service might not be able to respond so well to future floods, if it doesn't have enough funding.
The Devon and Somerset service has dealt with hundreds of incidents over the last few days, rescuing more than 200 people from floods.
But the Government might cut its budget by up to fifteen million pounds.. . and the FBU says that would inevitably affect front-line services.
