Sixth-formers in the Exeter area are to be invited to take part in a project to improve their job prospects by developing the key skills employers are looking for.
An initiative by the Exeter and Heart of Devon Employment and Skills Board is to be launched early next year.
It involves the students coming up with an out-of-school project which will demonstrate good communication, team working, organisation, problem-solving and customer service.
The organisers are hoping to get as many local businesses as possible on board, to advise the students and act as as mentors.
