It's part of a wider £2.5 million donation
A Devon charity has received a share of money donated by comedian Ricky Gervais.
The After Life star has given nearly £2.5 million to charities across the UK with proceeds collected from his recent tour.
Nowzad, based in Bradninch near Exeter, has received £132,000.
It helps rescue animals from conflict zones in Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Pen Farthing, the charity's founder and CEO said: "It's going to give us a boost to start the new year off.
"It's always very hard trying to fundraise at the best of times, especially now in the current financial climate.
"January and after Christmas is always a poor fundraising month, so for us this is just an amazing boost to start the new year off."
It's not the first time the comedian has given money to charity - in 2023, he donated £1.9 million from a previous tour.
