The Exeter-based founders of a new amateur cycling team hope the success of yesterday's Tour of Britain stage in Devon will inspire more people to take up the sport.
Paracycling champion Tom Staniford and his wife Alice launched their initiative last month, with the aim of attracting a wide range of people including those with disabiliites, and more women.
Their team will get professional support and compete nationally - but they also want to encourage cycling at a grass-roots level.
Alice (pictured) says they want to 'ride the wave' of the Tour of Britain to get more people enjoying the benefits of cycling.
