The figures measure the level of reported crime between April 2012 and January 20th 2013.
They show there were 4-thousand-and-54 fewer crimes compared to the same period for 2011 to 12.
Robbery is down by just over 20 percent and vehicle crime by 11 percent.
There were 847 fewer victims of domestic burglary - down 24 percent.
And criminal damage has dropped by 12 percent.
But there was a 5 percent rise in the number of sexual offences reported - that's 77 more than the previous year.
Devon and Cornwall police say the figures show this is still a safe place to live - and that there's been an encouraging drop in most types of crime.
