Two men have been arrested after an incident which ended with a car hanging over a railway line in Exeter.
The vehicle crashed through a fence in Southview Terrace before coming to a halt. It happened at half-past two this morning.
The driver and passenger reportedly tried to get it back on the road before running away. Police used a dog unit to help trace the men.
The driver, a 33 year old man from Ottery St. Mary, was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and assaulting a police officer.
The 36 year old passenger from Somerset was arrested for alleged possession of cannabis.
