Gale force winds and rain are continuing to badly affect local areas this morning.
Winds of more than 50 miles an hour were reported overnight, and Council workers have spent the night clearing debris from roads including several downed trees.
The Environment agency has extended flood warnings for the Rivers Clyst and Axe. The Exmouth area is also in danger
